Creating Your Own Fall Decor With Your Own Hands
An easy way to start living a slower lifestyle to halt the hustle culture from pressing in, is to start creating with your own two hands. Whether it's baking, crocheting, picking up photography, foraging, gardening, or painting, using your own hands to produce instead of consume is a great start to living a slower lifestyle.

Fall Decor Doesn't Have to Be Made of Plastic
I used to buy all the fall items that were out in the big box stores. Then I'd store it for 9 months only to bring out again and realize my tastes had changed and I didn't really like it anymore. Besides that, it didn't feel warm, cozy, and inviting. If felt a bit fake actually. I started bringing in natural elements like pumpkins and branches. Then, I started creating my own art to add a little more texture and interest to my natural decor.
Fall Is About...
Reflection and preparing for the winter months. Here in the midwest, it's about buttoning up our homes and creating a warm and cozy environment. It's about hosting bonfires and friends for coffee. Candles are lit, books are read by the fire, kids are snuggled in warm blankets to watch football games, soups simmer on the stovetop in our home in the fall. We don't need lots of clutter to remind of the the season. A few simple touches are just perfect.
